The Search
Chapter 3

Harry and I walked down the gray sidewalks of Richmond Virginia.  It was almost the start of winter. Gray skies were all over the east coast. Rain pattered down on house windows at night, chilly winds rolled in to remind people to where a jacket, brown leaves decorated the curbs, and the smell the of gasoline infested every home in Richmond.

With no preamble as of what was to come, Harry said "This isn't fair."

   "What isn't fair?" I question

"How the missions are distributed." Harry complained

We continued down the sidewalk.  Harry began dragging his feet; quite a small sound at that and it began to grow.

"Stop that Harry, straighten up, and act of age. You are 15, don't act as if you are 6." I lectured him.

"Alright fine Mr. "Because I'm older you I'm the boss" Harry finished.

We arrived at what to be a normal apartment complex.  Walking in Harry and I both had the feeling of being unwelcomed. The cold nervous feeling in the back of your neck. We kept on walking down the white hallways of this disguised building. We came across an elevator, still running, and still functional. Yet that was our biggest mistake entering it. All floors had the key switched to "OFF". As the doors closed making the sonorous ding, I selected floor "B2" as for us being on floor "B1". The fact we were stuck in the elevator did not frighten us, only how the one way to get out, screening for someone to open the elevator, was not an option. We were soposed to invade this building. Luckily there were handrails on the sides. We removed them and foced the door open. This tiring process of wedgeing the handrail in the door had to get deep enough for us to open it.

After a tedious hour, we got out of the elevator and wished we hadn't. Guards were there flashlights pointed at us, guns loaded and taken aim and we were the mark.
